Going Back to the Office
The time has finally come for many of us to start heading back into the office, be it on a fulltime or part-time basis. Although joggers and hoodies might not be compliant with the office dress code, that doesn’t mean you have to entirely give up the comfort that you’ve become used to over the past few months.
Here’s a few ideas of how you can wean yourself back into your office attire by incorporating some more casual pieces.
Let’s start at the bottom and work our way up.
Boots and dark blue jeans are the building blocks of a workwear-inspired wardrobe. Their versatility lies in the fact they can easily be dressed up or down. Team your jeans with a smart, crisp shirt and tie underneath a quarter zip Meantime sweatshirt to inject a slightly casual edge to your look.
Add a cosy knitted cardigan to your wardrobe and we guarantee it will be your go-to for comfort and style this autumn/winter. A basic round-neck t-shirt in a classic block colour beneath your cardigan paired with your dark blue jeans and boots will effortlessly take you from the office to dinner.
As the winter months start to roll in why not consider a rollneck wool sweater layered under a gilet, a shearling jacket, a nubuck soft leather jacket, or even an overshirt on casual Friday’s. You can even wear your rollneck with a suit and a stylish alternative to a mainstream shirt.
Be careful not to go too far outside your comfort zone however, always choose pieces that reflect your personal style. This will naturally leave you feeling more relaxed and comfortable for your return to the office.
